A Well-prepared Syllabus
As well prepared as we can be with a syllabus, we cannot prepare it as well as we would like because of a number of reasons. 1-We cannot access them until the last minute. 2-We are no longer able to edit them.

You do have a challenge due to the two limitations you listed. I would suggest a supplemental handout if that is permitted where you can list due dates, relative policies, etc. that go beyond the standard syllabus content. This also lets you personalize the information beyond the standard issue syllabus that many colleges use.
