Knowing the learning styles of your students makes you a more efficient teacher. At the school we have a lot of challenged learners with mind type disorders. To get their attention is one of the hardest but once you have their attention it is possible to teach them a topic. I use training aids passed around, and the challenge students get cut aways with it in their hands I describe it with the one on the power point and have a gifted student assist them. So finding the one with learning disorders is easy because the are the more disruptive during a lecture beck that is not how the learn.

Managing my course materials to best fit all learning styles is very important. I try to incorporate all with lectures and powerpoints hand in hand, then demonstrate what I just explained in the software along with the different ways of performing the task I'm teaching. Then, I leave time for the students to complete an in class lab performing the tasks I just demonstrated and following along in the lab packet I created also with details of performing the tasks in the software. I usually get everyone on board this way understanding the concept. I feel I'm a pretty effective instructor because everyone understands and it is reflected in their test scores and practical exams.
