I found this information very helpful especially that assessements have are available online. I think this would be a great ice-breaker for a new class - and help me assess the participants.

I feel the main goal is the overall education of the student and an instructor must find the best way of connecting with each student.

As discussed so far, each person learns differently. I attempt to present material by several different methods to allow everyone to absord as much of the material as possible.

To accomplish this I create instructional material that requires prereading assignments, uses PPT as a medium, incorperates questions and answers (to and from the students), and has some type of "Hands On" practical exercise.

It is much easier to get all the students to relate to the subject matter when you incorporate a variety of learning methods for those with different learning styles. I also find alot have a combination of learning styles which helps me plan also.

Knowing the learning styles of my students will aide me considerably in how I deliver the material to them.

By the knowing the learning styles of your students you are better prepared to plan your delivery and enhance the students ability to recieve new information most effectively.

Differentiated instruction is the key to student/teacher success. One has to know the learning styles of their student to ascertain what works for whom.

I think it is vital that instructors understand the dynamics and learning styles of the students in their classroom. How can you properly teach if you do not understand who you are teaching too.

I have a lot of visual learnings so I use the power point presentions that they like a lot.

Knowing the learning styles of your students means you are better able to design content delivery methods that will be effective in reaching multiple categories of learners. It will help you become a better instructor because it will help you deliver content more effectively in the first place, thus reducing the need to reexplain or meet with a student one on one. It will reduce frustration for both you and the student.

Knowing the learning styles of my students allows me tailor instruction that will be most effective and efficient. Having different activities for each of the learning styles will help all students learn more.

As the saying goes, "Variety is the spice of life." You want to deliver your lessons in a manner that encompasses as many learning styles as possible in order to reach the maximum amount of student understanding. You also want to mix things up enough to keep student interest.

Knowing the learning styles of the students provides me with information about which styles of teaching to use in the classroom. The most effective method would be to use a variety of approaches in order in encage the most students.

Knowing the different learning styles that I am dealing with, or even the most dominant, allows me to tailor the material to those types of learners. I try to have a variety of activities in class that speak to each of the different learning styles, so each student has the chance to learn effectively.
