Sometimes students wonder why they take a "CAT", especially since there is no grade attached and they are anonymous. I have found students appreciate realizing that their feedback (i.e. what they have learned thus far) is being used to improve instruction so "sharing" can be useful.

That has to be determined by the type of class. If the class is more "team oriented", sharing this information would be of value. If the class was more "inividual" oriented, it would not be a wise move.

A very good response to the question! Do you think it is necessary for the instructor to share a summary of CAT results with the class?
