I would love to have an ice breaker for my first day of my class. At the present time I teach Tooth Morphology. I loved the idea about doing the minute paper, any more suggestions?
Hi Timothy, Thanks for your post to the forum. i really like the idea of getting them to see the lab prior to lecture! Best wishes for continued sucess in yourteaching career. Susan

In my class at the start of each new class, after roll and a small get to know you, and an explanation of the class, at one point I take the students out to lab so they can see what and why we talk about the things we do ,so the student can put into relation with the lectures.
Hi Theresa, I have had my share of dental visits but don't know much about dental morphology. However, how about giving each student a card making them a specific part of a tooth. students have to go around and ask each other questions to see if they can identify what part each student is. As each student guesses correctly they get a star or check on their card. in the end the student that guessed the most correctly in the alotted time is the winner. Have a great Thanksgiving! Susan
