Student assessment
Student's learning is an assessment of the instructor's effectiveness of the delivery on the content of the instructional materials. This gives the instructor some idea of his effectiveness.

Keeping track of questions missed by many students are a point in which to improve comprehension of new material. By changing tests' questions/formats frequently, you can change "with the times" and keep info current and relevant.
I agree and disagree, if a student does not apply themselves no matter how good an instructor is that student will not learn. We must refocuse the student and find out why they are even in the class.
In my courses, their work shows how I am doing.
You are very right! It gives the instructor a chance to gauge where the students learing is increased or decreased.
