Using Groups

Depending on the subject matter groups are not always the best method of Instruction.

Ron
I teach typing.

I usualy let the students pick their own groups at first and see how well they work together.

Not only that, but I've seen many groups become 1-2 workers and the rest slackers. If students are not all motivated, group work can be problematic.

Ron,

No, grouping would probably not work as well for you. All though, since it is reading that students aren't doing, then grouping might work.

Just keep working at it!
