Be prepared and make a list on what to discuss.
Provide detailed informationt to students: what will be covered, purpose of the course, assignments, tests, grading system, textbooks, resource materials, attendance, late work and makeup.
Early preparation enables educators to have a sense of easy transfer of knowledge to learners. Implementing steps, specifically following the syllabus to engage learning development and developing a checklist to stay on task, can alleviate tension from both the educator and students, thus making the learning experience pleasant and less daunting.

Being early, preparing early, knowing your audience helps set the direction your class will take. Especially being prepared. This is something I struggle to do. It feels like I'm always rushing to get things done at the last minute.
Goal-Setting is very importmant so you will have an idea how you want your class to be successful. Developing a clear syllabus outline for your class helps to be navigate your class and help to answer their questions and that they will better understand the expectations of the class.
Being ready for the class and having a clear picture/outline of where I am going as an instructor every class was good info as a first time instructor especially.

A syllabus need to contain all information that will inform the student what he or she will need to be sucessful in you course. It also gives the student institutional materials and resources that the student can use in the event assistance with certain course content is needed.
For class, have a checklist handy to keep yourself organized and make sure you do not forget anything pertinent for that day's lesson. Also arrive early to mingle with the students before class begins. This helps you get to know them on a more personal level.

It is important to get to know your students as each student will have a different personality and the instructor will need to adapter to the student in order effectively communicate the lesson.

Having a checklist for reminders, notepad to jot down needs, and arriving early in class are all ways to keep you prepared for giving a good course to the students. You also have to realize what the students will be expecting from you.
It is not a bad idea to come to class as early as 30 minutes before time to get comfortable Syllabus is very important and if you are to write one, I now understand all that needs to be included in it.
