It is a blend of all with the students and I would say written being the least of the four. With Visual and kinesthetic being at the top. It is a mix of all.
Hi Gregory,
Good diverse learning plan for your students. You are incorporating a wide variety of learning opportunities and this is what keeps students engaged. Keep up the good work.
Gary
i use alot of visual and auditory and some written
In BMW we use a blended learning style which challenges our students. BMW curriculum uses Web-based courses along with instructor led course discussions and demonstrations by both the instructor and the students. All of the topics are reinforced with hands-on tasks in the lab. The shop environment also allows for a lot of one on one time with instructors and individualized skill growth for the student.
Hi Kenneth,
Good strategy. By covering the different learning preferences you are offering many different learning opportunities while keeping the students engaged. This will result in increase content retention.

I would have to say that most of our students are kinesthetic and some are visual yes we do have a small group of the other two we start in class with the power point and the book this helps the writer and the auditory learners and to a point the visual as I do pass around training adds then we go to lab and this is where the kinesthetic student comes a live so I think we try to cover all types
After 20+ years of teaching in a career school, I also found it's really tough to keep from gravitating toward my learning preference. But you just have to keep reminding yourself to do it.
Hi Michael,
I know this information will help you to relate even more with your students. You are following learning preference that will have your students engaged at an even greater level.
Gary
The section for this module was a real eye opener for me. It made me realize that I have been teaching in the learning style(s) that I use most, which is written and auditory. I have been trying to better reach those students who are visual learners by making better use of the blackboard. I try to use compare/contrast lists, advantages/disadvantages for example and I'm making use of different colors of markers to have important info "jump out" at the student.
We instructors incorporate all.whatever it takes to get thru to the students.we call it blended learning.Everybody learns differently, use it all. i do
i try to use all four but the best success is hands on. i can ask all the questions in the world but they like it better when they are shown and perform.
Hi Steve,
I use a blend of the four throughout the course. That way I am offering different learning opportunities through different learning preferences for all students. The students like the variety that comes from using the different delivery modes.
