How do you manage achieving the objectives within the allotted time and maintain flexibility to ensure the entire class grasp the material?
Hi Amy,
It all depends on how you need to approach the delivery of your content. You may not be able to use groups as a learning device if the pressure to get through the material keeps you pushing all the time. You might be able to use groups if you have them develop presentations that cover what you have to cover but have them present rather than you.

I agree with you that having different approaches help the students out, but sometimes I feel as if I have so much information to cover that I do not have time to break them into small groups. I love the idea, but how can you break them into groups and yet still have the capabilitiy of covering required materials?
Hi Julian,
By having a number of different approaches that the students can use to acquire the needed knowledge and skills. Use learning groups or student pairs to work through the course content. The students can help each other in working through problems or case studies using their respective skills and strengths to contribute to successful completion of the projects.
