Limited Number Of Students

While have a small number of students on a regular basis can allow me to focus material and learning directly to the few (or even one) students, it presents a challenge in the variety of activities and teaching forms available to use. Anyone have any thoughts of new ideas to modify some on the group work ideas or teaching elements that work better with just one or two students?

Gale,
Field trips and guest speakers are extremely valuable for students, large or small classes. With small classes sometimes the students don't value the content being shared as much until they hear the same content being reinforced by someone outside of class or observing application of the content in the field.

When there is only one or two students, it does become difficult, but maybe field trips and guest speakers could be a good idea for the few students to have meaningfull discussions on a personal level with a professional.
