Class Participation
I like to throw in curve balls to encourage class participation. If students aren't participating, I like to hit them with a question that I know appeals to something they are very interested in and tie that in to the lesson. I also like to set up various scenarios that have no clear, definite answer just to get them in a critical thinking mindframe.
I like that idea often time when a student asks me a question I will redirect it to another student to try to encourage critical thinking
I put a question of the day on the board before class gets in. They will start talking about it before i get into the room and have their answers ready for me when I get in. I also serves as a tip to what class will be about.
I agree and I like that idea. Not only does it get them to interact in the class but it also gets the students to interact more with each other who also may not be participating.
That is a great idea and I will be trying it in my classroom. Thanks!
WOW!! This is a very good idea!
