Finding time...
I use task lists all of the time. If I didn't, I would not know where my head is half of the time!! It helps when I can pull down a note knowing I completed a task or erase something on the calender. That is the best way I have found to stay somewhat organized!
This is quite the dilemma Bryant but fairly typical for instructors. Finding balance is often the greatest achievement.
I sometimes find it even harder to create a to do list because of a lack of time. But, when I am able to do the list, it sometimes send me into the immediancy mode, which I am rarely in. What a dilemma.
This is an important point Heidi. One of the biggest challenges with post-it notes is that we don't always see them when we need to. Making sure they are displayed in a prominent place can make all the difference.
I make little post-it notes of things that I need to do. This way I can carry it home with me and complete the tasks at home. Sometimes I stick them to a roster so that I see it when I start class.
I totally agree with you about checking off things on the to do list, this is the only way that I feel I have accomplish something.
Indeed. I enjoy that same sense of accomplishment Jennifer. It's great to check things off.
I find that using a task list keeps me focused and aware of the what is important to get done that day. It's a nice sense of accomplishment when you start checking off those items.
