Stress
I do my best not to get stressed in my working environment. It does cause long-term health issues. I wanna live a lobg prosperous life so, stress is not my friend! ;o)
Yes, it's tough when too many people in too many different roles compete for our time. Setting expectations is the key. We must calmly communicate our bandwidth and needs to the people who we work closely with.
Stress gets to me with so many students and staff demanding immediate attention.
Stress is one of the most deadly causes of aging and illnesses. Having patients in this fast paced world, with instant messaging is more of a task individuals are not willing to deal with. Deal with what is in front of you and do your best is the only answer for anybody dealing with stress.
I like to think of the word, Responsibility, as a "compound word"; then, separate it into the words, "Response" and "Ability". We all have the ability to respond in any way that we choose. I remember this, and talk with my students about it, before I allow something to "stress me out".
Thank you.
This is true Liza. We all deal with stress differently. The same stressor can impact two people in completely different ways. The best method for individual stress management is to start by knowing yourself and how you respond to stress.
I believe that stress is very much an individual perception. The way in which we perceive our stressors dictates our actions and responses to stress.
