Time is of the essence. It's very important to prioritize your time. Ask for help.
I like your approach Judy and I use it too. Sometimes, a using a spare 15 minutes can get you far.
I seek out pockets of time - for example, when do I have 15 minutes to spare and how can I make them work for me?
I always joke about how I wish I could add more time in the day to do work. What's funny is that I'm lying to myself because I prefer to add more time to the day in order to find time to relax and blow off steam. What's worse is that if it were true and let's say that there was 30 hours in a day instead of 24, I'd likely just shove more work into those 6 hours instead of resting like I wish I could.
Time management techniques, priority lists, and checklists can help in dealing with only having so many hours in the day. There are speciliazed software programs dealing wiht the topic of time management that can help one manage their busy schedule and prioritize their tasks.
There are only so many hours in a day! Organization, prioritization, are key to maximum efficiency. Also rely on assistance from supervisor to help with these type issues.
Generally more delegation or use of technology are good tools to use to help accomplish the new tasks. Also a discussion with your manager on prioritization helps eliminate conflicts.
