Stressed out!!

Working as an instructor can be extremely stressful! This quarter I have to produce a brand new class that I for one have never taught and 2 have never started from scratch to make a brand new class. I am really stressing because I feel, what if I do something wrong, what if I am not teaching them what the college exactly wants, etc. Please help me find ways I can "chill out" and try and find a little sanity in my life!

This is who my wife handles the stree stare to excerise every night , it will help with the stress goog luck !!

Hi Michelle,

First of all they wouldn'nt have asked you to teach a class or design cirriculum that they felt you couldn't handle. You need to elevate your own inner confidence and you'll be fine. Just some simple deep breathing excersises can be helpful. Its really mind over matter. You are good, You will do good, and you will make this class the very best that you can... Think positive and believe in your abilities... Mitchell Becker

I know that you constantly give more than the required effort for and interest in both your subjects and your students. Yet, like me, ytou still feel stressed when it all seems like too much to accomplish! Time to take a few short deep breaths and a "walk around the park", and think about that "happy place". Last quarter I felt this way for weeks and weeks until I regained my sense of control over my environment.

Based on what I know about you, I will say that I am sure you are doing a fantastic job. I also have found that most of our students don't expect perfection they just want someone who understands them and helps them to reach their goals. You have the experience and caring attitude that they need.

I have found that taking a little time out to exercise helps me out a ton with my productivity. Do you want to join me sometime at the gym - maybe for a little kickboxing or whatever?
