Sounds like a plan Emily. It's ok to start small and work your way up. Go ahead and start with implementing these things just two or three times a week. Then build on that.

Good idea. Sometimes tasks slip off our schedule if we don't write them down. When we write them down, they are accounted for and become part of the routine.

I enjoy the gym and will add that to my routine and "to do" list.

I will start using the stretching and breathing techniques discussed in the module. I have used the breathing technique in the past and it helps. Also trying to fit in more regular exercise.

That sounds frustrating Kenny. I might see if you could try a different approach in reaction to stress. For example, try going out for a walk or a run when you start feeling stressed to see what happens.

I'm glad you enjoyed this module Tasha! It sounds like you have a great system for coping with stress already in place. Keep it up!

Yes, getting to bed earlier and walking are both fantastic and low impact ways of reducing stress. Go ahead and give these a try Robin.

This sounds like a great plan Kristi. Sounds like you just need to find a place to start. I recommend doing just one new thing at a time and building on that.

Our environment can make a big impact on our ability to cope with stress. When it's too hot or cold, outdoor activities can be limited. You might try finding some indoor activities that can be used as good substitutes. Alternatively, try short road trips out of your region to environments that lend themselves better to outdoor activities as you can.

Now that it is finally starting to cool down in Arizona, i will begin hiking again! I find that being outside eliminates many stressors for me.

I will definitely exercise more. Whether it is walking, running, stretching, etc., I will make sure I exercise more. I also want to make sure I get an adequate amount of sleep each night.

There are a couple different things I could do. I think that going to bed earlier in the evening would help reduce my stress. I also think that including walking 3 times a week would help.

Based on what I have learned from the Coping with Stress Module. I will be able to implement some healthy tools, for those issues that I can not eliminate. I find that sharing is a great tool for me, because I am able to get issues off of my chest, and that works just by communicating about issues that I disagree with, but cannot change. I will also work out 3 times a week, becasue this will help get rid of the stress that I face from balancing my personal and professional life. By exercising I will be killing two birds with one stone and losing weight as well. Losing weight will help eleviate a personal stress as well. I really enjoyed this module.

I have always been a stress eater. The more stressed I am, the more I want those comfort foods! This has been my coping mechanism most of my life. I know there are better ways to deal with stress, but I always seem to fall back to eating when I am stressed out.

Either by eleminating if I can Or minimize its Effect if I can

That sounds like a good plan Maria. Yes, while we may have to make sacrifices to make it happen, we can eliminate some stressors.

I think a really healthy way to deal with stress is to exercise regularly. While I do exercise, I am going to try and do it on a more regular basis.

I will definately exercise more and try to make more time for myself. I know just taking a walk with my dogs gives me time to think and prioritize. It's too easy to get so wrapped up in the day to day routine that sometimes you need to step back and regroup.

Paige, I am glad to hear that you will be sharing about your stress more! When you do, you will realize that you're in good company :) I need to do the same. Like you, I don't like talking about what is bothering me!

Andrea, you indicated that exercise will help you. For me, it certainly has! Almost one year ago, I started going to the gym. No matter how stressed I was that day, I always seemed much more relaxed and positive when I left. Hope you will find it as helpful as I did :)
