It's true that when we don't exercise, it can be a bad cycle because we often become more tired and more stressed. Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion.

Exercise more regularly is one that works well for me. When I don't exercise, I feel more run down physically which adds to the feeling of stress.

I will try healthy coping exercises such as breathing and stretching.

This is great Charles. I like the way you were able to fold in a stress reducing activity without giving up a significant amount of time in your schedule.

Golf is a great stress reliever. It's not just about physical activity but about spending time outdoors too.

The stressors in my life are really there, much of what can be reduced and eliminated has been done.
I may need check personal email every other day at home instead of every. Yet for the most part I have been rather good at dealing with stress.

Myself and my fiancee are in the process of starting to exercise and have started golf as well.

One coping method that I have added to my life is riding my bike to work. One problem I have had is the time that coping mechanisms have added to my life. The time it takes stresses me out more because I want to get to the next thing and I see exercise as something I can skip to save time. By adding biking to work it saves me time because I don't sit in traffic, don't spend money on parking or gas, it gives me a little time to think about my day on the way to work and destress after work before I see anyone, and it fufils an exercise need. I'm a huge proponent of biking to work for those reasons.

Getting off caffeine is a great long term stress reducer. In the short term however, it can have some stressful side effects in withdrawal. So do make the short term effort but set your expectations accordingly!

Both regular naps as well as hikes work for me as well Russ. These are great stress relievers when you can find the time!

I find that regular naps work well for me. In addition I find that time spent during long hikes in the woods helps as well.

Maybe I should reduce the amount of caffine. It's P-town the king of the coffee universe but maybe just cutting back a bit will help. I have been mountain biking and that has taken quite the load off my mind. I find that sitting and letting the mind run free is often not the best tactic as the "to do list" just gets bigger.

Dealing with others around me I TRY TO GIVE TIME TO MY HEALTH SO IM ABOUTN TO START THE P90X PROGRAM.

Yes, especially as Spring and Summer are near, you should be able to get out there and relieve some stress with an outdoor sport you enjoy.

Yes, it is important to identify what you can and cannot control and plan accordingly.

I love to swim and have not been keeping up with my weekly routines. I am going to make a commitment to exercise more to relieve mental and physical stress.

I cannot eliminate the stressor that my husband is ill. I can educate myself on the illness, continue to take care of myself with healthy foods, exercise, and sleep. And talk to my best friend!

Compile a list, eliminate, reduce and "exerise" the ones I cannot do either to.

Breathing exercises, and maybe a walk around the block during break will be enough, but I always have friends to call and share with.

It is amazing how exercise can change your mental outlook and not just your physical form.

Wake up put on your running shoes and go for twenty minutes. Walk fast or run, 10 minutes away and ten minutes back. Earn the shower, it help you get YOU going. I was in a slump, working and going to school full time with a family. I finally had it. When I get home after work, i try to do any physical activity to get the body going, nothing strenuous, jog, walk fast, bike ride or kalestenics. This is done to preserve my well being. Then I do everything else. With in two days, my out look completely changed. Good Luck.
