Dealing with Stress

Being a personal trainer, I have found that physical activity and breathing are two very important coping mechanisms for stressors that we cannot eliminate.

I agree with you shametra. I meditate myself to release the stress. It helps me find a new balance to myself. meditation is awesome. when I know I am getting to that point I find myself meditating. after I do that I feel great.

I have found the calming effects of taking deep breaths. I read an article about shallow breathing and the effects on our body. Taking time to just take ten deep breaths really help when I feel extremely stressed. I also try to get outside for short walks during my breaks. What a difference.

one of the many things i learned when road racing motorcycles was to breath.another was to look as far ahead as possible.disregarding these makes everything more urgent and makes one feel like time is running out. i feel this mirrors many situations in my professional life.

Shametra, Breathing exercises are great. I love how you can do them anywhere. It's nice to have an outlet for stress that you can have with you on the go.

I often take in deep breaths when I am feeling overloaded by stress. It is a good temporary stress reliever.
