Outstanding response. Too few instructors today focus on the importance of how diverse a classroom can be in today’s environment. Regardless of traditional classroom delivery or delivery within an eLearning portal, the focus on the student and communicating with a clear message that includes appropriate humor and other “edutainment†qualities is key to student success and student retention.

An instructor is first and foremost an excellent role model for the students. They are organized and prompt, as well as knowledgeable about their subject matter. They should show enthusiasm for their subject and always treat their students with respect. In addition, they should be flexible to their students' individual needs and takes their preferences into account. And, from my personal experiences, they speak loudly and clearly, with hopefully a sense of humor to keep lessons interesting.
