Generational Differences
As an educator I must seek to establish a direct communication with my students to enable the optimum delivery of course material. The system of delivery will be chosen based on the needs and perspective of the students. Awareness of generational differences can facilitate the learning process by tailoring teaching methods that will successfully engage the student's inner desire to learn new material and grow in the ability to "critically think".
Rose,
this is true & we do know that the variety of learning styles holds study over the generations so if we are reaching these styles we have a greater chance or reaching all our learners.

The problem comes when, especially since we are discussing teaching adult learners, there is a variety of generations represented in the classroom. For example, in one class I am currently teaching, I have a 60 year old, a 40 year old, a few 30 year olds, some 20 year olds and 18 year olds. The system of delivery has to constantly be juggled in order to reach all of the students with the message.
we all need to make it happen for the student .know matter how the learning style are.
we just need to make them all uderstand to use all there resources to the fulliest when learning as well as we engage the student to help in the criticall way of thinking.use what even system works to help deliver the message.
I had no idea that such generational differences can be one of the reasons why one person might understand the lesson plan in a relatively easy way and others might struggle .this was very helpful to me .
James,
this is an excellent synopsis & as you stated it is so important that we determine the best way to communicate with our students.
