By integrating technology in the classroom GEN Y students feel comfortable with the content because of their knowledge in using technology as a learning tool.

I agree & use them rather sparingly. Not to mention, too much reliance on these by instructors can result in spoon-feeding our students the material instead of making them think.

I think that GenX and GenY have grown tired of PowerPoints (slides) and that many instructors overuse these tools. I don't see this as a necessary component of teaching.

I believe the over abundance of digital media has sadly gone more towards the mindless and mundane as opposed to the fun/educational.
As Gen Y Teacher (born 1982) I remember learning by playing a video game "Oregon Trail". I learned about what earlier frontiersman faced as they pushed to explore the west. I don't think other generations had this opportunity...I believe it was between the 2-4th grade.
