TV & Learning

Who knew that TV networks and theories or models of learning could be paired together. On the surface, they seem to be stark contrasts of each other: one builds brain cells where the other destroys them. :) Seriouly. Has anyone seen what's "popular" on television these days? Don't mean to be judgmental though. Nevertheless, these statistics that TV networks have about maintaining attention do say a lot when it comes to learning new material. Thanks.

There are certain TV shows that my students watch. If I can add new information to old information from a show it seems they can relate better, and it seems to "stick".

Brian, it is a bit disturbing to see what shows on television get and keep popular ratings, but it is related to how to engage an audience.
