I'm seeing frustrated parents post on facebook because they do not see and feel that their students are being supported when the teachers post assignments on Sunday and then do not check in on the student. It's really important that students have access to teachers during elearning.

The instructor must familiarize themself with the course CMS. Knowledge of the delivery techniques and strategies. The instructor must give clear guidelines to students so they will be comfortable with the program. Common goal sharing in an expectation of both teacher and student.
I have learned that this could be a very effective way of teaching and still use my diadactic skills. It is something I feel I needed to learn about for a long time.
I believe that to make sure that your online ability is more than just adequate. You have to be able to show your students your ability online so that they trust you and your assignments.
In this module I learn the importance to become familiar with the Course Management System (CMS). It will help to deliver the course efficiently to promote interaction, reduce frustrations, and make the learning environment very appealing. I have also learned that instructors should be familiar with the course delivery techniques and strategies to be an effective online instructor.
Being prepared to teach an online course. Knowing the course content .Clearly communicate the course expectations, rules and criteria so that the student and the teacher have a common goal. Work with the students to famaliarize them with the course.
To be successful s an instructor lessons must be well planned and follow a familiar Course management system.. Allowing learnings to have access to the requirement of the course the course layout, opportunity to practice navigation, opportunities for intellectual interaction and activities that are learner centered. The instructor has to allow prior knowledge of due dates and timeframes for postings of exams, quizzes and group interactive proojects.
The learnnings must be prepared by being attentive to course requirements and following instructions prior to and for regular meeting dates. They must have access to tech support and get feedback from instructor quickly.
It is imperative for instructors to be an expert in the CMS they are using with their learners.
It is critical to have IT support to avoid frustrations from students and instructors. It will happen but being prepared for those events is critical.
Having common goals for the team of instructors even if teaching strategies are different.
Have a common organized course structure of the course is imperative to maintain the course flow, especially if taught by several instructors.
I found the information useful, particularly as public schools across the nation are having to move to online instruction. One concern in my school, considering our particular demographics, is the availability of technology for students.

Since beginning this course, I have made updates to the modules in my Canvas classes to cover things like knowing how to effectively utilize the LMS, glossaries, and communicating with the instructor and peers.
I have learned that in the E-Learning environment, students must feel comfortable and support in all aspects of the E-learning environment. The Instructor role and responsibilities are not to be taken lightly when instructing students. The students need the support of the instructor which will make them feel comfortable and reatainable, it plays a mojor role in the students success. Engaging students is a way to access the students just as you would do in the classroom environment. I have learned that the E-learning environment is no different than how an instructor will function in a classroom. The difference is technolgy.

When using the Course Management Systems, instructors should make sure that the computer system is equipped with the hardware and software required to access the course. Instructor privileges are important when logging in to course as well as technical support. I have had this problem before, and it is very frustrating. If the instructor is having difficulty logging in or using software, it looks like they are not prepared.
New to an online course, the students already were familiar with who I am. I definitely like the idea of the bio for the instructor as well as bio's for each of the students. I think this is a definite "ice breaker"
I have learned that even though the instructor may know about the content being taught, course expectations, timelines, class structure, clarification of course room tools must also be understood and conveyed to learners.
Familiarity is importatnt for the instructor,in order to set expectations and guide students to sucess
