Accreditation
It is very important to stay in compliance with your institutions rules and regulations. We as admissions representatives represent the school and must follow certain guidelines and maintain regulatory standards.
Dayna,
Institutions that rely on financial aid must be in good standing with their accrediting body. Even though accreditation standards are high, we should be operating under the same parameters if not accredited. It is just good business.

It id very important to stay in compliance with your institutions rules and regulations as far as accreditation. If your school losses your accreditation, you loss your level IV which is your financial aide. I have seen a school shut down because they no longer have level IV and students can't pay the fee for school. Also if your in violation of your institutions rules and regulations you run the risk of being in violation with the board of nursing and the board of education.
Charles,

The website has valuable information regarding accreditation and can guide you in the right direction.
There are so many accreditation companies. I have been told that not all of them are recognized by the dept of Education. can someone help me with choosing the right one who will not charge an arm and a legg for my small school?
