Keeping Your Resource Notebook Up to Date
There are a few ways to use your notebook and keep it up to date. You can wait for your supervisor to give you information. You can also seek out the information from the other staff members. You can ask questions. You must do whatever it takes to be sure you have the most current information plus the forms that you need to complete the admissions process.

I love sitting with colleagues and understanding what they do. It helps me give the applicant inside information on the various steps of the applicaiton process. My notebook is constantly growing!

That's an excellent idea! Especially since things are constantly changing that is a perfect way to be ahead of the game and well refreshed! I usually don't schedule any appointments until 12 PM on Mondays, i need those Monday morning to be prepared for my week.

We should take a few minutes each Monday, while "warming up" for the day or week, to review and ensure we have the most up to date material. Getting the notebook updated and ready to use early in the week will make things easier in the following days.

I really believe that we need to be proactive on our own to seek information that makes us compliant. The commission does not allow for the inability of not knowing. The information is out there and available for all who seek.
