Through this module I learned about the importance of the rules and regulations regarding my institution. Having them on hand facilitates the answers we provide as admissions representatives, to the prospect student. The “Resource Notebook” is a great tool to provide accurate information to the prospect student. I would say I was aware about most of the regulations and policies of my institution. Still this module provided me with some ideas that I am definitely going to use on a daily basis, to more easily execute my responsibilities as an admissions representative.

During the admission process there are a few key words that provide the prospect student, with a great deal of information that makes them feel safe about their decision. For instance, when we talk about an accredited institution prospect students tend to feel like is a more reliable school. Also we talk about the programs, meaning the group of classes that take part of a sequence of courses that aim to provide the student with a degree after their completion. One important key aspect is the term scholarships. A lot of the prospect students, don’t have the economic resources and they rely on scholarships. It is then important that the admission representative is fully aware of all the resources available for prospect students. It would not only help them out make a decision, but also its going to provide motivation to the student regarding their academic future.
