Admissions Staff Training
I think is very important to admissions staff to take this course because sometimes applicants come to the institition without information about it. And the way he/she receive information is decisive at the time to take a decision. Other important point is the way that students are treated. Good manners are as important as institution information.
Coming to Admissions with a Career Services background, this type of information in addition to the amazing trainings from our Director @JoAnnDeRosa-Weber have given me the knowledge and confidence to do my job to the best of my ability. There is always room for growth and I do appreciate the on-going training and motivation we have on a weekly basis!
@pattyaronoff : as an admissions director, I conduct weekly trainings with my team on compliance as well as product knowledge so that they are comfortable with what they are telling students and that they remain current on the various programs here. I also invite the program directors into our meetings so that they can give us their point of view and updates on their programs.
I look forward to these courses yearly and it not only ensures that you are up to date, but you are compliant in your day to day interactions with prospective students. It is imperative to also incorporate product knowledge and ongoing training at the campus level as well. It is important to be aware as outlined in the requirements of the Resource Notebook to understand how our prospects are getting in touch with us and the marketing that the school has implemented. The ongoing training on top of the yearly CEU credits are essential.

I definitely agree that the training is an essential part of the employment here. It ensures that everyone is on the same page as well as utilizing the skills and the up-to-date information. Having these trainings help build "people skills," which ultimately leads to forming a stronger connection with the prospective students.

What you are speaking is excellent customer service. The students need full disclosure of information and follow through. They need to know that they are not just another number.
