Kathy,
Awesome! You are testing yourself. We sometimes play testing games with each other to see what we REALLY know.

One way is by the notebook that I made. I constantly refer to my resource notes and try to memorize as much as I can because I know that I need to apply them daily.
Anelys,
Very exciting! The notebook should be assembled the best way determined by you, the one who will use it most.
Patty Aronoff
I assembled my notebook by removing items not pertinent to my institution and using color coded tabs for each section. Coordinating this way is extremely helpful in maintaining all items organized and updates are easily stored.
Paula,
The CIE website is your gateway to all things regulatory. Check out their monthly newsletter as a starter.
Patty Aronoff
I've printed out the statutes, rules and regulations and put them in a Resource binder. I'll also put some on the walls for a constant reminder.
Checking the commission's website is also a valuable tool for updates and important changes.
Silvana,
The CIE website is the resource in looking for changes.
Patty Aronoff
I have printed them out to have them on hand in case I dont remember something. I'm planning also to keep following the web page in case there may be any change made. Thank you!
Daniel,
Absolutely! Check out the website often for news and information regarding agenda and rulemaking.

Huichi,
Whichever format works for you that's the best one. Having the resources available is key to your success whether it's in electronic or paper format.
Patty Aronoff
The CIE website is an excellent resource to make sure that I am compliant with the Florida Statutes and rules and regulations.
I keep all my files in a folder on my Tablet, so I can access them at any time!
Hugh,
Excellent! Continue to build your notebook by adding materials that assist you in building your knowledge base.
Patty Aronoff
a section in my resource notebook that covers the statutes, rules, and regulations for the CIE.
Juan,
Thank you for your feedback. The rules and regulations that govern your school should be well understood by all employees.

I've been in the education business for awhile and is amassing to think that the information governing the rules and regulations for education institutions by the CIE is not made available every time schools have an opportunity to provide training not just to admissions personnel, but to all school staff, teachers and department heads. The information can clearly prevent individuals as well as institutions from making costly and embarrassing mistakes that can taint not just an institution, but the education industry. This was a very educational and refreshing section which I will follow up with my own admissions team and make sure they understand the rules and regulations they must adhere to and enforce.
Rachel,
Absolutely! We need to all take an active role in keeping current with the regulations.
Patty Aronoff
Until I began this training, I had no idea how important the rules and regulations were. After reading this module, I am definitely going to be checking for updates monthly, possibly watching some CIE meetings on the web, and getting to know the regulations better. It will make my job in admissions so much easier being familiarized with all of the rules and regulations.
Sheffian,
Absolutely! The importance is the knowledge you acquire and how you apply it. Having valuable resources keeps you on the path of compliance.
Patty Aronoff
Individuals store and access information differently. What is of vital importance is that we know and adhere to Those Statutes, Rules and Regulations! This will keep us compliant and in business.
