Well How i organized it is by putting a checklist of what my instituation requires me to follow through such as policies and procedures. making sure financial aid gets some of the files as well.

We use a cover page check off list to keep all parties organized. I personally think that this should always be practiced. It allows everyone to stay organized and on top of things. It leaves little room for mistakes.

We use a checklist on ever application.

Sirena,
Excellent process! I am sure others will be using your post.

John,
Proof of graduation (POG) is an important part of the financial aid process as well.

Here at the school I am working in we designed checklist that we give to the student and keep a copy for ourselves and file. As the student send documents we check the list off. When the student comes for the final Enrollment we have them bring their checklist and compare it with ours and then compare it with the files. After the checklist we always have another admission Rep. double check the file for signatures, dates and all required doc's

We also have the checklist on the front cover. All documents are then organized front to back following the order on the checklist. Our institution does require High School Diploma or GED for enrollment.

Laurie,
Thank you for posting your process. The panel review is excellent.

Shaun,
Excellent start! Auditing would be the second step.

Rebecca,
Checklists provide consistency and consistency is key in compliance.

Heidi,
Checklists ensure we are all travelling down the same path. Audits are easier too!

Tram,
A checklist is one of the ways we can organize the paperwork. Another person auditing the paperwork will bring another step toward compliance.

Our school uses an Admissions check list on the cover of the Admissions/Student file that details all the documents required in the enrollment process to be reviewed signed and submitted to our admissions panel for review.

we have a check list that is set in place to ensure that all paper is on deck

I believe a checklist is essential, I am not sure yet what we do here, however a checklist, have the paperwork ready so if student is enrolling have the application available and ready to go, and get familiar with what else is required and each department and what they do.

Checklists are fantastic! We have one as well. They are a perfect guide and constant reminder of all of the important details that have to be discussed and understood. It is also definitely a plus to have more than one set of eyes verifying the information. It's the best way to ensure that everything has been done correctly.

Thomas,
Checklists are a great way to maintain consistency and accuracy. It is a quick way to make sure everything is completed.

cover page checklist is beat way to organize all the paper in order

I agree with the checklist. It also helps to have someone go over it after you, just to make sure nothing was missed during the process.

I'm organizing the paper by category. For example; everything on Rule-6E is organized in numerical order, by chapter and section.
