Admission, the most difficult part of an institution

As a licensed institution of nearly 3 years, I must admit that the admission section of the organizational structure is the most difficult one. I find the easiest way to make it a smooth process for all involved is to enroll student when they have all the required documents and also to finalize the enrollment packet in one day. Have all paperwork completed and then turn it over to be filed immediately.

Helga M.,
Absolutely! Being organized and having all the information together shows attention to detail.

I have been involved in the admissions process and without a doubt belief the best practice so far is the collection of all documentation needed at one time; Of course that is a team effort which involves a clear and informative orientation session.

Jalyssa,

In admissions, we are the cornerstone from which the entire relationship is built. Initial contact build the trust and the information link that students need.

Yes. I've been working for my school as the primary Admissions Rep for only a month and I must say that it is a lot harder than expected. They say the first impression is everything and its very true. With the amount of schools in my area, I've learned that finding different techniques to make my school stand out more than the rest is VERY important and sometimes difficult. And you sometimes are the primary motivator in the students' decision at the time by keeping up on them and getting them enrolled as soon as possible.

Sylvia,

That is the best practice. Having them complete the requirement in one day gets the stitch in that we need for admissions.
