Very exciting! You are doing a lot of preparatory work for the success of your students. Congratulations!
Patty Aronoff
Matthew,
Sounds like a great place for you to be! Being in a school in which you have a personal interest makes a whole different environment. Good luck!
Patty Aronoff
Emery,
Very interesting! You have a certain niche into the development of these programs.
Patty Aronoff
Jehonissi,
Having both allows your institution to offer continuation of education once the completion of a degree is obtained.
Patty Aronoff
Aleida,
These are very specialized programs and have intricacies that go well into developing product knowledge. There's always something new to learn and develop in specialty programs.
Patty Aronoff
Frances,
Very cool! When we build our resources we are instilling the knowledge and reinforcing it's use.

The institution where I work offers Masters programs in Business Administration (MBA) with concentration in different disciplines, I keep looking for information on jobs in the community in which these services are required, and so I can be more specific as to which types of jobs that require specialization, as well as update me regarding trends in the labor market.
I learn about the programs by meeting with the dean and program chairs of the institution, meeting with career services and sitting in on classes and participating in lab classes.
Our school offers Barber, Cosmetology, Skin Care, Nail Tech, Full Specialist, and Massage Therapy.
We offer different programs in areas like: education, business, finance, criminal justice, management, human resources and nursing. the way to learn about those programs is trough the catalog, because the descrption of each class is there.
Our school offers one A.S Degree, Several Bachelors and Masters Degree. I have the catalog for descriptions. Also we have resources to access ONET and Labor Market Information with the State.
Our campus offers programs in Front End Engineering and will soon be offering Ruby on Rails as well (computer programming languages). I have been meeting with potential employers to learn about what types of jobs our students could get, and what employer requirements are, so that I am prepared to help students with job placement. I also attend user groups and tech MeetUps so that I have a better understanding of the tech community, and the types of organizations that need developers like our students.
My school is a Golf Academy. We teach club fitting and repair, teaching proffesionals, and tournament operations. I came into my position here because of my knowledge of the game. I will be shadowing a few of the instructors in class to learn more about possible career options.
My school offers training in Commercial Diving, Maritime Welding, Medical Assistance, and Industry Non-Destructive Testing
We offer accelerated Bachelor's an Master's Degree Programs.
My institution offers undergraduate and graduate programs in Psychology, Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, and Counseling.
Initially, when I began working there, I received orientation regarding the programs the Institution offers but besides that, I decided to attend one of the prospect student orientations given each week to individuals who are interested in enrolling in one of our programs. It was an excellent opportunity to better understand each program's information and to better understand what the student's are training for. In my particular program, Nursing, the orientation covers important information regarding requirements, duties, responsibilities, clinical rotations, background checks and vital information that the student needs to know.
In my case when I started I created my own excell database including the programs and information for each. Made it easier to learn all the details. Our Career services department supports us with workshops regarding placements
Heather,
Excellent! Having that community connection is so important in hiring our graduates.
Patty Aronoff
