Know What your Institution Has to Offer

Right now I am working on meeting with all program leads for the different programs and opportunities at our institution. It is important for us as admissions representatives to understand all of the offerings of our institution and to be able to provide the most accurate and up to date information to those students. Whether you went to law school, went to the law school you work at, or did not go to law school at all there are many questions that will be asked and you need to be able to answer each of those. Understanding your institution and what it has to offer is one of the most important aspects of our job.

The enrollment management perspective emphasizes the notion of a systems approach to college enrollments, that is, an effort to systematically link all the policies and functional areas that have an impact upon student enrollments.

mercedes,
The best experience is the one that we have daily. We increase our knowledge and better prepare ourselves for the future.

Curtis,
Learning should be fun! Our new students go on a scavenger hunt during orientation. It's a great way to learn the school.

I am currently a new rep for my institution. One of the great ways that I have been able to get to know the school, deparments, chairs and programs offered is through doing a school scavenger hunt. I have interviewed Department chairs, sat in on classes, toured with the Dean and posed as a potential student with career services. It has been a great way to get the lay of the school while connecting on a personal note with the team.

Megan,

Very true! Having a solid product knowledge will assist you in being able to answer those questions.
