Lesa,
The students need to have a clear understanding of the document that they are signing. We need to spend whatever time it takes for them to have that understanding.
Patty Aronoff
Genesis,
The Commission for Independent Education is a consumer protection agency but it also protects the schools that the students attend.
Patty Aronoff
The requirements give me the opportunity to show a prospective student all of the facts before signing that binding agreement!
The Commission for Independent Education requirements affect how we perform our job as an admissions representative or agent because we are given the responsibility of providing students with the proper information by following their guidelines. The Commission of Independent Education provides us with information on what to inform students with and exactly what they should and need to know. With these guidelines and rules, we are forced to abide by the law and provide the opportunity for students to fully understand what are their possibilities, ramifications, and results from the programs and courses that are offered.
andrew,
The regulations keep us legal and provides the students with consumer protection.
Patty Aronoff
Celeste,
So important in the business we are in! Our prospective students are our consumers and expect nothing less from us.
Patty Aronoff
We all strive to be honest and ethical. The regulations help give us reference points to make sure we are always helping our prospective students in a transparent way. Through understanding and implementation of our rules and regulations we ensure good practices that protect our prospective students and our schools.
The regulatory requirements help admissions representatives along with all staff to operate with integrity and honesty which in turn allows staff to provide prospective students with clear and accurate information.
Ashlynn,
It is nice to have the rules to have your back. The consumer often knows the rules as well and appreciates when we share that honesty.
Patty Aronoff
I believe they make me a better agent as I can not promise employment so it allows me to be honest without upsetting the studnet
Jennifer,
Unfortunately, not everyone does act with honesty and integrity. Therefore, the Commission is authorized to impose sanctions.
Patty Aronoff
Doug,
The regulations protect both the student and the school. A win-win for everyone.
Patty Aronoff
Mark,
The Commission provides many resources through their website. Check it out!
Patty Aronoff
Eric ,
Absolutely! They must complete the training and be licensed by the Commission. The license is good for one year and must be renewed.
Patty Aronoff
Diana,
The Commission is very helpful to the schools. Contact your program specialist whenever you have questions. They are there to help!

I like to think that all agents would act with integrity and honesty. However, it is nice to know that rules and regulations apply, as well as penalties for those who don't follow the requirements.
The requirements the CIE set only benefit and improve our school and the manner that we conduct ourselves. I found this program to be very informative and necessary.
I believe the Commission for Independent Education requirements is the tool you have as an Admissions Representative. It serves as a tool or guideline that can be followed to help the Admissions Representative provide an ethical , and informative approach to potential candidates.
The commission for independent education requires that agents be training before they are allowed to work in the field. this means that agents employed at my institution must take additional training and be aware of regulatory issues
The commission provides information and guidleines to keep us up to date on what is needed as admissions representatives. It helps us to know our job well enough to keep our students informed and help them make smart decisions with our guidance and transparency.
