TRAINING FOR ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE
I WOULD LIKE PARTICIPATE IN MORE ADMISSION REPRESENTATIVE TRAINIG THAT COULD BE VERY IMPORTANT TO US , HAVING MORE PREPARATION AND SKILL FOR OURS WORK.
Victoria ,
We should always seek new opportunities to learn. Whether it is about the career fields our students enter into or why is happening in education today. Many exciting things going on.

I have learned so much from reading and rereading some of these forum discussions. Being new to this profession it is encouraging to know that there is more training opportunities out there and different places where information can be obtained.
Stephanie,
Admissions is in a position to change lives by how they conduct business. Having the right approach filled with integrity and honesty keeps the right image alive.

I definitely have done this. A huge chunk of my training was listening and observing other admissions representatives doing different parts of our job.
There was one representative in particular who had a calm way with working with the students. He doesn't come off sounding like a salesman, but rather like your grandfather offering to help you. I personally don't like feeling pushy or like a salesman, so I took to his style. I started sitting in with him more and learning how he worked our job. He has been incredibly helpful and nice, and he is also extremely compliant with regulations and such.
Antwan,
Unfortunately, training is one of the areas that companies cut first. The advance of online training has helped in this area by accessibility and cost inco, ved.

Having read many of the responses, confirms what I have been stating for years. Training is one of the most valuable investments and institution can make in its people. Keeping them up to date of changes and in the loop about where the insitution is going is key, especially as admissions is the front line defense of the school. Sometimes it becomes frustrating to sit in meetings! As it was stated, having agendas and conveying pertinent information can help to lessen those frustrations.
Alejandra,
Best of luck in your endeavors.
Regulations change all the time and its hard to keep up sometimes, these training sessions I think are very helpfull to me and I will continue in order to keep up.
I am working as an Admission Rep for one year and half and I've been learning a lot, I love wath i am doing now, and hopefully I'll learning more, Thanks
Karen,
Thank you for your feedback.
John,
Thank you for your feedback.
Rogeria,
Thak you for the feedback.
I found this training very helpful and educational.
I would say to find that senior rep that would serve as a good mentor to you and that is ethically sound.
This training was very valuable, being a new member I learned a lot not just about the basics, but a deeper understanding about compliance.
This training was very valuable. We have a lot of people coming and going in the marketing dept and don't always get the training we should. More training like this would be very helpful.
Margie,
There is always something to learn to help us do our daily activities better.
