Orientation is a good time for students to not only meet faculty and staff but also to learn the campus and to meet classmates on a more casual basis for the first time. It really gives them the opportunity to settle thier nerves. Going back to school for working adults with families is a big step to take.

They are provided with an ooportunity to meet other vital faculty members of the institutions such as registrar, director of Education, etc. and allows them to get better aquainted with the school grounds, make sure they have all books and uniforms needed for the first day of class.
