You are new to the career school sector and are very interested in learning more about your school and what makes the career school sector unique in postsecondary education. Describe the resources and updates that are available to you.
There are vast resources available to not only help in understanding my institution, but also understanding the career school/college sector.
Internally you have various departments including career services, academics, registrar, program managers, advisory boards, etc. that are there to support in understanding the products and curriculum. In addition they support in understanding what career avenues individuals can pursue upon completion of their training. Some additional useful tools are found in your college catalogue as well or through institution newsletters and regular updates.
As far as other resources supporting in understanding the career college sector overall you have various state licensing and regulatory board publications, other state associations, accrediting bodies for both institutional accreditation and programmatic accreditations in addition to the Career Education Review and Career College Central which you can arrange to email you periodic updates on what is happening in our sector of higher education.
