Building Value
One of the toughests concepts for admissions reps to understand and complete with a prospective student is Value. You can sell to them all you want. If you have lacked on getting to know them, their inner wantings, and gaining that trust. You may get them to talk to you. However, they came to buy the rep that has listened to them the best and helped them make their dream a reality. They never buy the school. Yes, they might love what you offer, however if you miss what they want. They will go somewhere else. Every rep has their own way of building Value. No matter what another school says if you built that value, they will always believe and trust you. What are some of best questions to help build that value for the potential student?
Building Value brings confidence its knowing what your company is good at, and the value they provide, and acting in a way that conveys that to others.
This topic struck me as the most compelling. We have been taught here about 'WITY'or What's Important To You. We want to ask open ended questions and get the prospective student thinking about the benefits of pursuing continued eductation. Based off that we can find what interests them and build genuine value for them.
we must build value to help potential customers realize the how important the services are.
I believe building value is one of the most important aspects of our job- that is the first step to getting propesctive students truly interested and exicted about going to school
I agree with this statement. Building value is extremely important. We want to treat and talk to our prospective student like a friend, really get to know there needs by peeling the onion. I like to ask about there support system at home, what encourages them, why school is so important and how it can change there life, where they want to be in the future and so forth.
