Tuition Assistance

An agent needs to be informed about all tuition assistance options. There may be other school personnel who provide detailed financial aid information. The agent needs to know which questions to answer and which to refer to others.

This is very important so that the agent is compliant and does not give too much information but yet knows what tuition assistance is available so they can direct the student to financial aid.

I feel that this is very important because compliance in this field is very serious and by not having the right answer for the prospective student or parent of the student could be viewed as giving misleading information although it may have only been an attempt to help that person. It's best to forward the questions to the specific person or department that can give the needed information.

It is important for an agent to be informed but has to be careful on how much they know (or think they know) They need to understand that everyones situation is different and for that they need to confidently say "I am not able to answer for that for you, and I would hate to give you miss information. I can however refer you to someone in XXXX department and they can answer that for you"

I strongly agree with your statement. As an admission representative’s; you will come across question regarding about finical-aid since investment is the main part of education. But, understanding compliances is the main goal for admissions.

I totally agree. Compliance issues can occur if the agent is not aware of his/her boundaries. Typically the agent refers back to the financial aid personnel for any in depth questions that may come up.
