Communication throught out all departments and levels of management is important. Having regular training and meetings to discuss changes. Also, refresher training.
The topic of being "up to date," seems very crucial espcially in this industry. I'm not sure if it is because I am new; however, I would like to understand more in detail of what to be current with. Modules have helped give me a start with understanding what information needs to be continually updated, at the same time I want to make sure I am not missing anything any have the correct answers when the time comes. So, my question is are there any suggestions for a new employee or good websites that I can read that will keep me more informed?
Scott,
Incorporating state regulatory changes into your weekly admissions meetings is a great idea. Even if there are no updates at times, keeping the topic on the agenda reminds agents that there are regulations that they are required to follow.
One of the most important part of keeping up to date is knowing of any changes ine the requirements of the school, admistrators or agents. Monthly updating is a great habit to begin to ensure that your information is correct.
Make sure you are current on state board updates by checking the website. Implementing a portion of your weekly admissions meeting agenda to include state regulatory changes. This will insure all updates and changes are observed and acted upon accordingly.
We seem to be up-to-date. Staying informed through each department you have is a great way to stay updated.
I regularly check my school's websites for any updates. I also get a lot of information from my DOA, Campus President, and Director of Education on any updates. We usually discuss these at weekly and monthly meetings.
What a great suggestion Paul!
Making my binder and updating it frequently..
I will be speaking to other admissions reps, the director, and college president so we are all one the same pages with changes. I will keep my notebook updated and I also plan on checking the state's website and newsletter regarding any changes coming up. Our college has an open door policy so if I am missing anything important I can go to my superiors for a fill-in on any missing information or ask to see any additional resources they have.
Our School has a great way to keep us informed through updates in emails and our campus president and all staff have an open door policy and monthly staff meetings.
To keep up to date I will continue to check the Ohio Board website and print off any new information to add to my Resource Notebook.
I plan to look online for anything new that is out or has changed. Also if anything is sent to me either through e-mail or given to me by someone at my location, it will then be put into my notebook and replace anything that has changed or add to what I already have. That way I know that I have all the updated information required.
My DOA and Campus President keep us well informed. I never feel as though I'm lacking information and if I did I know that I could ask questions without hesitation. I'm always provided with up-to-date information, which I greatly appreciate as an ADA.
Keeping informed is one of the best ways to be compliant and successful as an agent. Checking with the Ohio Board is a great want to stay informed.
Our institution implemented the "intranet" tool for us to follow up on as well. It is also a great resource to stay informed with thechanges that our sector is undergoing so rapidly.
We also seem to be up to date.
I will look on line to see if their are any updates or changes that need to be made on the Ohio Board
I need to do this too. I scheduled a product knowledge meeting with one of our instructors, in an area where I need assistance, that I will need to complete as soon as I complete my modules here.
I have the school catalog but we have a new version coming out soon. I will need to obtain a copy as soon as it is available to look for curriculum changes as well as administrative changes.
make a better effort to communicate on a regular basis with applicable departments; update my notes accordingly.
