Knowing how laws continually change, and policies are updated, I think a monthly check in would go a long way in keeping oneself abreast of new information. It also will provide a review of the information one already has, like a monthly refresher course.
Yes, of course, keeping up to date on any changing regulations is extremely important. I will check the OACCCS website monthly and have daily and weekly update meetings with my Director of Admissions and the other Directors of my school regarding any changes in regulations in their Departments.
To keep checking the OACCS website for updates but also check with your director of admissions. I also think a yearly talk with a few new students and their process through admisssions. Recieve their personal feedback and see what may need some work.
Alaways check the Ohio Board webiste. You should do this at least once a month.
I will keep up to date on changes by speaking with my SDOA in regards to this on a regular basis. Also by checking the Ohio Board of Colleges and Schools.
I will typically send out a routine email to each department each week just asking for updates. It can be the same email each week and it will allow each department to catch up with me if anything was passed over.
Since starting this course I have been gathering all the necessary materials need for my resource notebook. I've printed out the OBCCS rules and regulations related to the enrollment process and the advertising and recruitment process as well. I've also included our schools catalog and employee handbook. We are a small school so things don't change much or if they do I'm more than likely going to be involved. So it will be relatively easy to update my resource notebook.
by confering with my supervisors and doing a regular monitoring of the web site and communicating with my dept. heads for changes that they may be aware of as well.
I will be checking the board site.
I always wondered what the best way was to keep up with the most current information in higher education. I have always relied on managment when I worked at other companies, however, I will start using educational websites so that I can become more proactive.
I just added a monthly reminder in my Outlook to check the Board Website for updates
I plan on checking in on monthly basis for updates to the code.
Frequent, monthly reviews of the guidelines appear to be an excellent way to keep up to date.
I will carry a guide to academics alongside my marketing materials. I stay in constant communication with the marketing team that is drafting and producing materials for reps to take on the raod. If your website is the only tool you have to show a prospective student, log on and sell of that website as it is always updated by law.
Our academic advisors are good at keeping us current on any changes occuring in each program.
I plan on regularly speaking with my supervisor and checking the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools. I'll probably try to update my information at least once a month.
Keeping up-to-date is crucial! I stay fresh by regulary checking my school's website, new handouts, making sure I know who to contact for answers, etc.
Frequently review all offerings of my university and services we offer. i also plan on submitting requests to the various departments to get more information regarding their programs. Once I have aquired all the information, I will add it to my resource notebook and create a reoccuring event to insure I stay up to date with all offerings and services. Also, working with my manager to help ensure i have a second resourse on staying up to date with any chacges that have been made.
Right now with my training I ask questions are a daily basis, & I think it's a positive idea for that to continue. I also plan to check the Ohio board website daily.
My company is very good at making sure we are made aware of new policies and changes, along with additional training if necessary. I plan to view our practices/policies section to see if new policies are going to be put into practice.
Also, regularly asking questions of management, as I am still a newer employee.
