Knowledge is an important aspect to communicating what needs to be complete for policies and guidlines.
I think my knowledge of my institution is very good. I feel like I know what I am talking about but it seems like I learn something new every day.
I feel I have a good knowledge of my institution however there is always room for improvement and more to be learned. The student population is ever changing and there are always new questions and needs that should be addressed on a student by student basis. We are always being trained and brought up to speed on new requirements. That is a necessary part of being an effective agent.
I would rate my knowledge as improving minute-by-minute. I'm a new hire with some experience in Admissions. At this entity, it is obvious that as a new hire, my goal is to be informed - know who to ask and/or where to find factual information related to this institution.
I am new to my institution and this training has been very helpful in many ways. I have been in my location for about a week now and learning so much every day. I am impressed by the level of professionalism at my location.
Being relatively new in position, I find that I know lots of knowledge but the functionality of all that valuable knowledge will only come with use. My breathing life into my level of knowledge will help me bring the best to both my school and my potential students.
I rate my knowledge about my institution high. I was a former student and gleaned a lot of information. WIth staff turn-over a host of information would have been lost if there wasn't someone here who is aware of what transpired in years gone by. I've often been coined as the go to person.
I would have to say pretty good, i also plan on attending a few classes to add to my knowledge.
I feel the training provided at our institution for admissions representatives gave me the knowledge I need to be successful and feel confident about my responsibilities.
I rate my knowledge as very high. I have helped with every part of starting our school, and have worked in the field for over 20 years.
Networking is a huge tool that everyone needs to perfect and use daily. Information changes daily and you need other people to help you keep your information correct.
Staying compliant is key in admissions. But, I also like to stay up to date on many areas of the school because it helps when sharing examples with students. I like to sit-in on classes, talk with students, network with career services, and meet with program chairs. Having a 3-D view of the institution really helps to give a new student the big picture when all the details of admissions become overwhelming.
My knowledge about my institution is increasing with each passing day. I am finding the information from this training to be very helpful. The different ideas to learn more about my institution are being implemented as I go.
I have been a student at my school for a few years. However I am a new employee and still have a lot to learn.
I'm new to my institution but the training has been good and I feel that applying some of the learning techniques described in this course will help me even more. There are a lot of resources available to further any agent's knowledge of their respective institution.
I am very knowledgable about the rules, regulations and procedures thatare mandated by our institutes. We are made aware of changes weekly. Communication is the key. Training is ongoing locally and from corporate.
I rate my knowledge as excellent, but constantly improving and changing! It is important to constantly review and be aware of all the information I need to know in order to help the students in a professional and thorough manner. Due to the vast amount of information that is required to know for this position, I feel it is crucial to visit and revisit the Resource Notebook to ensure familiarity with policies, procedures, and all information about the school.
For me, moving from a graduate school in Tennessee, to a two-year school in Ohio has been a steep learning curve. Not only are the mission statements radically different, the age and demographics are as well. I am still in the process of learning the rules and regulations of the State of Ohio, but also the makeup of the faculty, staff, and even the students.
Knowledge is something that is continuely growing. It is so important to retain and review new and old information to be successful. I rate my knowledge high but I know I have a lot to learn which will help me fine tune my skills. I have had excellent training from my direction of admission which has help me feel more comfortable. I also believe I learn something new everyday and the longer I am in my job the higher my knowlegde will become on my institution.
I as well rate mine high. We have periodic "back to basics" trainings in order to make sure we are knowledgable about the relevant information regarding our school. During our training we also took part in classes and still go to visit classrooms.
