Additional Training Opportunities

What other areas of the recruiting/admissions process do you feel would be of interest to you as future training opportunities?

@johnware

I would like to know more of how the marketing dept. works. Like strategies used to obtain quality leads.

Financial Aid and Career Services... I have always been intrigued by these 2 departments that play a vital roll in our student's future education and career...

Personally, I enjoy getting into the psychology of the marketing strategies. I want to know why we say what we do to elicit the responses. That has been a personal favorite part of my current training and would love to see more of that..If the why makes sense, you'll be so much more effective.

Yes learning about Virtual Degrees will be helpful.

I agree with you Ashley. Here at our institution we rarely cover the marketing techniques that assist us in the community when we reach out. I would be interested in finding out more information on this topic as well.

Internal meetings and virtual training.

One that addresses online courses would be great.

I think one area would be how to keep a conversation alive and interesting, especially for one that it's 100% online

In my previous experience in admissions, it helped having experience in the classroom and knowing what the classes would be like on a personal level. This way, if prospective students have questions or concerns about class, you will know what classes are like.

I would like to have more information on the marketing side of the admissions process. It would be nice to go more in depth into the regulations and what marketing techniques we are allowed and should be using when out in the community.

I would like to hear more about marketing. Techniques on how to market ourselves as agents or effective ways to market the school to prospective students.

I would appreciate more information on how to use social media most effectively to reach particular markets. The way you reach out to millenials is far different than someone in their 50's.

I think hearing how other reps and people in the industry handle their stich in process and what works the most effective could be a helpful tool

I think that the best thing to do as a rep is to cross train through departments. I say this because in order for me to feel like I'm doing my job to the best of my ability I want to know how other departments and staff do their jobs. I think it also helps to gain an understanding of how we all work together.

The thought of going to the places that employ my institution's graduates is an awesome idea as well! I think to really understand what a student goes through, sitting in classes and visiting areas of employment is a great idea. It allows me as a representative to talk with more experience and conviction.

I Think that Virtual recruiting would be awesome !

Any changes to the courses / programs offered, as we don't offer the same programs each quarter. Additionally, scholarship information offered is vital when selling the school and opportunities to enroll and how the inventstment will be paid for by our students.

I would be interested to know about additional opportunities.

I believe the best way to learn about the opportunities is to be pro-active and find as much info on the subjects taught at our campus.

I believe that knowing all the do's and do not's is crucial. Everyone presents the information in a different way, knowing how to go about introducing the information is key.
