It would be beneficial for admissions to understand the role of other departments as well as train the other departments in the school to understand the role of admissions.

We have been getting more product training, not just sales and recruitment training. I feel you can present better when you know the product. Also, sitting in on some first quarter classes helps, then you can have an understanding of what a new sudent is preparing for.

I believe that it would help me to to understand more indepth each program that our campus offers. This would be acheieved by sitting down with each Program Director. I also think that it would be benifical to meet with them monthly to see if there is anything new or if anything has changed.

I would like to have the time to really be able to sit in on a class (of each program) and talk with each program director, and to really get a feel for each program.

I agree! It's important to know each academic department thoroughly as well as student services! They continually change as well!

I think further training with the Department Chairs to gain more information about the programs would be awesome. The best way to be confident when talking to a prospective students is to be knowledgeable. To be able to exaplin and discuss the different programs available to the student would make the process more efficient and a better experience for both the student and myself.

Knowing more about information that changes and how to stay current. Also how to effectively talk to prospective students who may want to know more information about the program than the average student may ask. Would it best to to have a one on one conversation in those instances?

I think it would be helpful to have a bio on all our instructors and program directors. Just so we can get to know their background and work history.

Any additional training as it relates to Gainful Employment to ensure that we are compliant is welcome.

Past students experience is an area of interest. I find it is helpful to tell a prospective student a little story about how past students felt as they went through the admissions process, and how the staff handled any fears or concerns.

I took psychology in college and feel that a course on motivational theories would help when speaking with students on the phone. I find that a lot of times I set appointments but they don't show up. I need better training on how to motivate these prospects to come in and this training would suffice.

Continued learning and cross-departmental training would be of great benefit. I think it is important to not only understand one's own department, but understand how the entire school functions.

My school encourages us to sit in different classes in order to experience what the students feel. When a new student has questions about the classroom experience it makes it easier to help them.

I think that attending some of the classes that you are recruiting for would be really helpful.

I felt that one of the best training opportunities I received as being able to sit in the classroom along side the students. This not only allowed me to see first hand the experience of the student but to also help me better convey to incoming students what to expect. It also helped me understand the needs of the instructors too.

becoming knowledgeable about hoe the other departments operate such as registrar, this way I will be able to answer questions for the student concerning the other departments.
I find that I have to communicate with some students on behave of other departments and most times I don't feel competent providing students with information based upon other departments.

I would like to eventually see more on job placement techniques. I discovered a few options that were given during the instructional class room environment, but would have liked to of seen more about that.

I did take away though the idea of approaching more business' about the positions they have within their organization and how it relates to the program's available at our school...and thought it would be an idea to schedule time with my local Chamber of Commerce.
