The job market is always changins so it is important to keep in touch and be able to be aware of what the maket is like any at given point in time.
I find it very important to stay aware of what is going on in the job market.
Career Services really keeps informed of changing business trends and the availability of the local job market. Observing and listening to them at work and meetings is very informative.
Demograhical information on job trends and forcast's on future jobs are available on government census websites/The Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is important to reserch this and communicate with Career Services on what kind of careers are in demand.
By staying on top of the changing trends allows you to stay sharp in the industry to help students understand what is available.
I agree-Working closely with Career Service and research local job boards and classifieds can assist in staying on top of this.
