Being Fluent in the Do's and Don'ts
It's absolutley imparative to completely understand the information relavent to the do's and don'ts. When communicating the financial obligations and time commitments that a prospective student may expect, the admissions agent needs to be fluent in this information and relay it accurately. This allows for the prospective student to make an informed descion based on true fact and not on incomplete deduction.
I agree 100% with the above statement. It is very important to relay accurate information to a prospective student because as admissions representatives we have an important reputation to uphold. We not only represent ourselves as professionals but we represent the institution. If a representative is unsure of an answer to a question, it is better to let the student know you will research and get back to them, instead of misleading them with a false answer. In the end the student will trust you more and as a rep, you will learn something new about your institution.
