I believe by not only providing but covering the financial responsibility with loans, as well as graduation rates raises their awareness so they come in making an informed decision on if they feel they are ready to show up and commit to what is expected of them.

i find it to really help open the consumers eyes. that not everyone is honest and that those of us that practice these procedures stand out as the good guys. it is an asset to me because being honest and treating them the way id want to be treated is the best approach to any situation. it also gives them a sense of clarity because there is no veagness to my information that i provide them.

I think that all of the required program integrity requirement and disclosures are important.
High school is equivalency should be required so that the student has the opportunity to succeed in the program, as well as the chosen profession.
SAP is important again to ensure the student is going to be successful in the profession. Gainful employment is important to ensure that the student made a good investment in their education.

Avis,

I love your last sentence in which you state the imporance of the students knowing how to use the resources that are available to them.

Kimberly Stein

Students usually respond well to our career and skills page which reflects average salaries for jobs whose SOC codes match up with our programs. That page also outlines what the students would expect to do on a daily basis in their new career field. This information allows us to easily transition to the cost of the program, median loan debt, and FA options.

Our instutition is very career focused and success driven. Out of all the program integrity requirements, "employability of graduates" is something we have had a long history of standing behind. Graduates from any program have lifetime career services, whether they need assistance with their resume, job search, learning about the professional field they're in, mock interviews (phone or in person), and anything else we have available to our current students or graduates for free. This doesn't guarrantee a job, but it's a great way to request help for all the steps that can go towards finding employment. We also require students to take a career focused class towards the end of their program to make sure they already are working with career services on their resume, portfolio (if applicable), and preparing to be competitive in their professional field). It's important to offer resources, but more important to make sure students know how to use the resources we have to help them once they graduate.

We have a team of financial planners and specialists that help the student through the financial process from recieving and understanding an initial estimate all the way to the point of making sure all FA documents are 100% complete and accurate. In addition, help is provided throughout the student's stay at the instituation as well as after with coaching on repayment strategy.

We do make the students aware of all costs from the 1st appt through their Financial Aid appt.

I like sharing the graduation and placement rates with the students so I can be confident that they are not being mislead and they are making informed decisions.

Amanda,

Yes, the rules and disclosures are another layer of protection that the students deserve when making such important decisions.

Personally, I am glad that these "program integrity rules" were required of institutions to protect students by providing them with additional information about program outcomes and costs. Additionally, I am glad these rules are in place to curb perceived abuses of taxpayer money.

Knowing what to expect in the classroom.Career services to assistant after graduation.also the cost, and their committment.

the online student preparation course really shows them what its like to be in the classroom and what to expect from online program

I think that we just must make sure that the students understands the cost and committment in each aspect of the enrollment process. In cluding recruitment and financial aid. No additional programs that I am aware of you .

We do and they work with the student more and more the closer they get to graduation. We cant give much info on this subject.

The graduate employment information is great info for the student to use to make a decison on to attend or not attend. We have some begining courses that the student must complete before they attend like the OSP, it will expose them to online learning.

Our training helps us focus on realistic and attainable outcomes for students in each course of study. We also encourage students to do their own "due diligence" research on employment opportunities. Our Career Services Department is active with our students and graduates.

We have a great career services department that really helps our students.
