The language of competitive

It is wonderful to have this opportunity to talk about the necessity to be careful when talking about competitors. The art of being able to avoid talking about them helps us grown in highlitghting our strengths. It would be nice to know how other reps feel about this.

I personally think when you try to speak negatively about a competitor it tends to show just how desperate you are in trying to enroll the student.  It makes more sense to accentuate the positive of your program versus speaking negatively about your competitors programs.

I try and not speak at all about our competitors, but I do encourage my potential students to do their homework about schools when trying to choose one.

We speak to our school strengths and leave the rest out.

I agree, this rule does give representatives the opportunity to highlight the strengths of our programs. Only giving information about your organization not only demonstrates integrity, but builds trust with your prospective student. If an organization has to put down another in order to enroll students, I would think twice about attending.

Recently meeting another Rep at a job fair he went overboard praising our school and how he knows the owner and how she won't ever do anything unethical.Which is all true, but it made me wonder what he had been saying when I was out of ear shout?
