NEWSLETTER & COMMUNITY COPARTERNING
This course was selected knowing the content will offer content we can employ in our organization. Based on our limited budget this course is ideal, the tools offer are most crucial and affordable in our marketing/publicity arsenal.
A newsletter seems to be the most cost effective, it offers numerous creative and useful openings, and production will be traditional and digital. With newsletter we can try co-partnering with community organization and business and furnish them with advertising space in our publication. Also as co-partners they will distribute the newsletter. The more we think of it the more ideas we can note and contribute to the on-going project. Hope to get some feedback from the forum. Thanks.
Ludin,
Sounds like an interesting newsletter concept. Involving the entire school is always a benefit. You get great ideas from people who know your school. And you will keep them involved.Newsletters do have to be professional and also have interesting content. It's important to learn what readers like to see, how often they will open your newsletter, and if it is better to send via email, mail, via Linked in or Facebook, or other media. We think it is important to measure results as well. And don't forget to send to all employers and organizations in your community. You are a service to your community. Thanks, Susan

Our school recently started a Newsletter and it has been a success thus far. We involve the entire school to participate and contribute while highlighing student events, departments, promotions, and upcoming new programs. We make it fun, eye catching and include fun facts as well. The reception is a positive one and look forward to making it even better by now sending these to potential studetents. I also believe that the newsletter must be professional as well have good content. When it comes to branding, we want people to compare us and know that we take alot of pride in the attention to detail. Now, I am even thinking about sending them to those we meet in our community. Thank you
Newsletters can be a great way to stay in touch with your entire constituency. The goal is to keep them short and easy to read and very very informational. There are merits to online newsletters. They are easy to deliver and low cost once you have a template. Problem is online newsletters often get caught in spam and so don't get read. On the other hand often paper newsletters might be seen as junk mail - especially if they are free. Bottom line - newsletters can provide a lot of information about your school and the programs. thanks, Susan
I agree with this concept. A newsletter is versatile and an easy way to involve others in the organization and in our clinical partnerships. Newsletters can be dropped off at local stores and can serve as a mailer. An organized newsletter could be designed to come out every so often and would be much like our own professional portfolio. Only it would be the organization's portfolio. In fact, as I was reading the material, I was reminded of the professional portfolio where we are maximizing our successes in preparation for our evaluations, promotions, or for new employment. It is a continuous, dynamic process.
