Reframing is a great way to change narrative and change a negative situation to a positive.

I am horrible with names, but I can certainly understand how stating someone's name is personable and builds trust. I will use reframing in my everyday conversations.

Having a connection with the students is the most important thing.

People skills make up the 25% of success in connecting effectively with students. It is important to read people, use eye contact, good posture, open body language and mirroring the students voice/ body language.

The 4 skills to communicating is body languarge, attitude, people skills and product knowledge. Knowing what my strengths are in these areas will help me to communicte better and to strengthen in the areas I need to do better in.

body language, attitude, people skills sales, product knowlege

Trying to "make the connection ", I need to find some common interests with the students to them feel more at ease during the admission process.

The four essentials for communicating should be applied daily to help prospective students and guide them. Attitude and people skills are the best when building rapport.

Body Language is an imperative part of listening and paying attention. It is still something that I believe that you can do over the phone by listening to body language and gaos within the studetns speach.

Attitude, people skills, sales skills and product knowledge are what we use to connect with our students effectively.

It was important to reiterate that having people skills and a great attitude leads to more development and success not only with the students but in all aspects of the relationships we have.

This opening course is a game changer in how we communicate with students and colleagues in our organization. Going through the Communication formula was quite informative and practical in it's approach. The exercise to apply the formula was a bit challenging - as i didn't get it all on the first try - but well worth the effort and the explanation for each.

The importance of knowing how to handle essential skills in interation with others.

it taught me some things on how to put the students needs first.

For me, it is being aware of how fast I speak at times. I have a tendancy to speak fast when I get excited or enthusiastic about a subject. I have to remember to slow the pace to allow others to comprehend what I am saying.

Remembering names! I am not good with names and need to work on that! Also, talking to everyone, like it is the 1st time!

Body language and voice inflection can be very important when making presentations and explaining information. If you are bland, boring, or uninterested then so will the other person and it's a waste of everyone's time since they won't understand what's being told to them. Spice it up, make it fun, and being cheerful is the best way you can communicate.

Mirroring the ways people respond can help you connect with them on a supportive level.

Effectively reading others can benefit your conversations with students and your overall goals.
